Allows you to remove the OEM, huge & very heavy muffler box ( cat) and replace with this unit. Much lighter, less weight and a great sound improvement even with OEM muffler, ever better with Aftermarket exhaust.

Does fit with OEM muffler and any other muffler that is designed to fit with the cat as OEM is. Does not need an ECU tune, bike runs well with stock tune as we kept the tubing of the cat delete at the correct size but like with every other bike you can still improve the performance with a  tune and that is also valid with the complete stock setup.

Installation takes apx. 15-20 minutes with basic tools, really nothing hard about it. So at any time later, you can put the cat back onto the bike as it was stock.

Race only, not approved for street use and will not meet local emissions .

Perfect

The link pipe is beautifully made and the welds are excellent. I'm a fairly good TIG welder, I couldn't approach this quality--they look like machine welds or perhaps laser. Installation is easy. The stock cat is a monster. Between eliminating the cat and switching to the Shift Tech muffler I dropped about 15 pounds and the sound is lovely. I'm fabricating a spark arrestor to fit over the db killer. I'm waiting for the bench reflash of my ECU to arrive to see for myself, but from what I've heard from a rider whose opinion I respect, the difference will be well worth the time and money.

Works with Camel ADV Skid Plate

For anyone with the Camel ADV skid plate on their bike, this will fit, though the pipe is tight against the rear bottom bracket of the skid plate. You have to remove the bracket to pull the cat out. Once the new pipe is in place, don’t tighten until the bracket is reinstalled.

I’m using the stock exhaust, no tune. Sound is louder at idle, but not much of a difference under way. I’ve only been on one ride so far, but did not notice the bike running poorly, just a few more pops on the overrun.

Shipping was fast and packed well. Quality of part is top notch, welds look like they were done on a machine, no burrs or sharp edges. Fitment was perfect on the bike, the link pipe brought out that Ducati rumble and paired perfect with the oem can and no tune. Highly highly recommend getting the advance air temp sensor ST4485-2 at the same time. Without the sensor the bike had a rougher idle and decel popped pretty bad. Air temp sensor really cleaned it up through out the rpm range.
